My Coolest 3D Print Yet on Bambu Lab P1S | Kingdom Hearts Lithophane
My Coolest 3D Print So Far!
If you're into 3D printing or just love seeing creative projects come to life, this is one of the coolest things I've made so far! But instead of just reading about it, I highly recommend checking out the full process in my latest YouTube video—where I take you through every step, from design to final print. Watch it here:
What is a Lithophane?
At first glance, it looks like a plain piece of white plastic. But when illuminated from behind, a vibrant and detailed image appears. This effect is created by varying the thickness of the print—thinner areas let more light through, while thicker sections create shadows, bringing the image to life.
My First Multicolored Lithophane
Most lithophanes are printed in a single color, making them great for lamps or decorative pieces. But I wanted to try something even cooler—a multicolored lithophane! Using a special CMYK filament set, I was able to 3D print an image with built-in color, making it glow just like a printed photo when backlit.
The Inspiration: Kingdom Hearts & My 3D-Printed Tarot Cards
If you've been following my channel, you know I’ve been working on a series of 3D-printed tarot cards inspired by video games. For this lithophane, I based the design on Kingdom Hearts, one of my favorite RPGs. The process started as a 2D illustration before I turned it into a 3D printable design.

Printed with Bambu Lab P1S using CMYK PLA filament
Assembled with a backlit LED panel
I was super happy with how it turned out! Seeing a design go from a simple illustration to a glowing 3D print was really satisfying. This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to experiment more with lithophanes in future projects.
I’m also opening a store soon, featuring limited-edition 3D-printed designs, including my Kera Cards. If you want to be the first to know when they’re available, sign up for my mailing list at Kevandram.com.
Thanks for checking out this project! If you create your own 3D-printed lithophane, tag me—I’d love to see it.
